Twitter is looking a little different

Twitter has made updates to its in-app design. The changes are designed to make Twitter “more accessible, unique, and focused on you and what you’re talking about.”

Take a look at the changes you can expect to see when you next log on:

• A new font, Chirp, is now in use
• Western-language text now left aligns (non-western languages are unchanged) 
• Colours are high contrast and less blue. A new palette will also launch soon
• Buttons are also now high contrast, such as the follow button
• Fewer gray background and divider lines
• Increased space to make text easier to read

These aren’t big changes, but they’re certainly noticeable when you use the platform. And interestingly, Twitter highlights this is only the start of the visual updates we can expect to see.
