Twitter has announced it is testing an additional placement option for ads, they could soon appear within tweet replies.
This is currently being tested globally for both iOS and Android users. And the ads will appear either after the first, third, or eighth reply under a tweet. Bruce Falck, Twitter’s Revenue Product Lead, shared the news with the following tweet:
On the decision to test this, Bruce commented within the Twitter thread: “…As we experiment with this format over the coming months, we’ll focus on understanding how it performs and how it impacts the people and conversations around it…We’re excited about trying this out for our advertisers and we’re eager to explore how it could open the door for additional opportunities to reward Tweet authors and creators.”
