First of all you are presented with a topline summary of the main stats:
Follower growth: How quickly is your profile growing? If you’re not happy with your growth, you should figure out what you can do to boost it. Could you have a stronger call-to-action to follow you on your website? Or could you send a message about your Twitter profile to your customer database? Could you get some influential users to mention you?
Tweets Per Day: What is the average number of tweets you send per day? There are a lot of things to consider here. Are you posting more or less frequently than the average? How does this affect your follower growth and engagement? Should you alter your posting frequency and for example post more often during the days and times where you are not so active currently.
Engagement: How many of your followers actually engage with the content that you post? This shows the percentage of your followers who retweet, favourite or reply to an average tweet that you post. If this number is low compared to the other profiles it is worth looking into further. For example, consider the quality of content that you post, post format that you use and the timing of your posts; could these be optimised to boost the engagement.
Next up is a look into the engagement that your tweets are getting:
Retweets / Favourites / Replies: What does your engagement look like? This section shows you how many retweets, favourites and replies you get per tweet that you send. How do your followers engage with you the most? For example retweets could be very impactful as your message gets spread to the followers of the person that retweeted you. Replies show that you are actually getting attention and response from people.
This section looks at people mentioning you and also helps you figure out how interactive your profile is.
Mentions: How many times do Twitter users mention your profile daily? This includes any time your brand is mentioned, including @replies to your own tweets. It is a good metric that shows how much buzz your brand is getting on Twitter. If you’re not happy with these numbers it is worth considering the content that you are posting. Could your content be more interesting? Could you ask better questions? What about using better imagery.
Retweeted / Replied: How many times do you retweet or reply to a tweet daily? This shows you how social and interactive your profile is in general and also with the people that are mentioning you. Interaction can be a great way of building closer relationships with your audience and it can make your brand more personal and approachable. Could you for example use Twitter as an efficient customer support channel?
This section looks at what post formats are used the most:
Status / Image / Video: What post format are you using the most? How many of total posts are plain tweets, how many are photos and how many are videos? How does the global use compare to your own profile? Should you be mixing it up more and for example be posting more videos? Is it worth switching things up regularly in order to keep your content fresh and exciting?
