All users are now able to use the Link Sticker feature on Instagram Stories.
The Link Sticker only recently replaced the ‘swipe up’ feature to access a link via Stories. Access was also once limited to users with a certain number of followers or had a verified account.
So this update will most likely be very welcome by social media marketers. Links allow users to visit a website, sign up to emails, read a blog post and so much more. On the decision, Instagram explains:
“Today, we’re expanding the ability to add links in Stories to all accounts. Over the years, businesses, creators and change-makers have shown how sharing resources and information can inspire their communities. From organizing and educating around equity, social justice and mental well-being to showcasing new product drops to customers, link sharing is helpful in many ways — so now we’re giving access to everyone.”
