GDPR

As you may be aware, the 25th May 2018 is a significant date for companies operating and serving customers in the European Union.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a vitally important part of ensuring absolute transparency between companies like ourselves at Locowise, and our valued business users, who depend on our application every day to measure and report on their social media performance.

The GDPR supersedes the 1995 Data Protection Directive. One of the most prominent changes, being that even if a company operates outside of the EU, regulation applies to how those companies market their products and services to EU citizens.

Locowise are strongly committed to compliance with GDPR. With a vibrant European user base, our work is ongoing with all users to ensure transparency as well as clear choices for our users to opt in and out of contact with us.

Locowise staff have undergone training on handling data and we have put in place stringent internal procedures to handle requests coming from both our customers and from individuals.

There are a number of ways in which the Locowise team can help you better understand and ensure GDPR compliance;

  • We can give you details regarding the data stored in our application
  • We can provide a list of our vendors (sub-processors) that might receive data, if applicable
  • Fulfill all pertaining requests from individuals such as 'the right to be forgotten' or 'data portability'

For assistance with GDPR or any data regulation issues, please contact support@locowise.com and we'll ensure a response is made as soon as possible.
