Twitter’s new Super Follow option is expected to soon be here as testing begins. The feature is designed to give users a way to charge for their content and create an exclusive, members feel.
We first learnt about Super Follow in February at Twitter’s Data Analyst Day. And now, app researcher expert, Jane Manchun Wong, has discovered and shared how we can expect it to look and work.
Firstly, it will be limited to users with 10,000 followers or more, who have posted at least 25 times within the past 30 days, and are over the age of 18. Once within the process, users will be able to select their content category and see their estimated earnings.
This follows another recent move by Twitter to launch a Tip Jar. This feature allows users to collect payment for their content shared. We shared this story last month, which you can read here.
While Twitter has declined to confirm Jane’s findings it’s certainly an exciting development and one we’ll share more on as we hear it. In the meantime, perhaps consider who you’ll Super Follow once we have the chance. And in fact, how is your content currently performing, would users Super Follow you?
