But just in case you’re a little in the dark about how the new Locowise has blown up social media metrics (again), here are a few ways in which you can get up to speed, and put the new stuff to good use.

When you’re publishing content, it can sometimes be hard work to make sure that the stuff you’re getting out there is broadcast at exactly the right time. That’s why some companies pay people to do just that, with stopwatches at the ready.

The Locowise software removes the need for any task force and provides the expertise at your fingertips. Visit the ‘Publish’ section. When you publish, all you have to do is get your content together (a tweet for example) and then click on ‘Publish on next optimised time’. And it will do exactly that. No guessing. Only data science and all automated.

If you’re too excited to wait, just click ‘Publish now’ instead.

Just be sure to allow publishing access to your account first. If you don’t, you won’t get nada.

Our ‘Publish’ section also allows you to schedule your next cover photo change on your Facebook page. Just click on ‘Timeline cover’, select the image you’d like to set as your cover photo and schedule the time you’d like it to go live. Nice and easy!

Adding competitors means you will be getting plenty of data and all the right kinds of data. You can have the demographics of their fanbase, for example, so you understand exactly who they talk to. You can also get the drop on your competition by seeing, in real time, detailed engagement statistics. This means a whole load of good stuff, including the ability to tailor your content so it matches (if they’re doing well) or betters theirs.

You can use it for a quick snapshot of the landscape you’re in, or as part of a major campaign, but the best thing is the speed. Simply tick those boxes in the new, cleaner interface for benchmarks, and you can have that side by side data up in seconds.

When you’re putting together reports for your boss or just for yourself, it’s always better to have a report that has your brand all over it. But that means fancy design teams and software right? No, it doesn’t.

In the new Locowise, when you’re pulling off a report about your social media performance, you can add your logo to that report, so the reader gets a real sense of the impact your brand is having.

To make this happen head on over to your profile at the top right of the screen and click on ‘Customise’. Then you will see ‘Logo for reports’ as an option. Click this and you can customise your reports with ease. No more worrying about faceless reporting. Give your reports a brand feel.

Grabbing reports used to be a nightmare, and we don’t care what platform you’re talking about. Long-winded, and usually consisting of more than a few clicks and searches, reports were hard to find and get. That has all changed, and you can try one of our new tricks to make the process super quick.

Just click on the downward facing arrow on the top right of any report that you need. This allows you to get a quick download in most of the formats known to man. But on top of all that though, you can also email and schedule reports.

That’s up-to-the-minute reporting, available in any format, and to anyone who has an email address.

Content comes in many shapes and forms, and when you publish it, it goes through some different permutations. At the top of any Locowise page, you can click on ‘Content’ and then ‘Filter’. When you do this the information you get your hands on suddenly becomes a whole lot more sophisticated.

You can break down the content you have into a ton of categories and shades. For example, you can look at your posts but rank them according to various criteria. Want to know which posts get the best deal when it comes to audience sentiment? No problem, the filter feature takes care of that for you.

Be sure to set the date range so you have plenty of content to filter through, and you can go through a bunch of sources, as well as different criteria, from retweets of your stuff to mentions.

Hashtags are still big business, and knowing what they are and what they’re telling you means you’re on top of your game. Locowise now lets you simply add an Instagram or a Twitter hashtag and then see what it tells you. In plain English, that means you get insights and ‘the nod’ on what is trending, and how it may affect your brand.

How do you do this? Simple. Head to the ‘Add’ section up at the top of the screen and then add your hashtag. You don’t even have to add the actual hashtag itself, just the title/topic/keyword you’d like to monitor.

Then just wait for Locowise to bring down all the data and insights you need for that particular hashtag. If it’s in your industry, and you need to know about it, this is the way to find it.

Google Analytics has been the backbone of many a brand. With its detailed data on traffic and location of traffic (for one thing) you’d be fools to ignore it. Locowise has taken this on board and now allows you to fully integrate your Analytics information into your Locowise dashboard.

Analytics gives you a ton of insights so it is the perfect partner for Locowise. Get it integrated and you will have even more info at your fingertips. We don’t think it’s possible to have too much info, but we think we’re pretty close to that with this one.

Just head up to the ‘Add’ section at the top of the screen and hit the Google icon. Here you can quickly add your Google Analytics account.

While we’re at it, you can do the same thing with your Facebook Advertising account too. That means even more info for you to work with using the Locowise platform. It’s the same deal as with Google. Hit the ‘Add’ button and go for that Facebook Advertising icon.

You can invite collaborators to get involved in the magic. Clocking on with people that you know, or even some that you don’t (it’s always great to gain another perspective from someone who can give you an outside view) can allow you to get more done, or even just to gain even more insights. And if you have many different people in your team that are involved in the use of metrics to build growth, this is the perfect opportunity to hand out the keys to the car.

Just head on up to the top right of the screen where you see your profile picture. Click on that and hit the ‘Collaborate’ section. Then fill in the details of the people who you are going to invite and you can also manage permissions too. It’s like having your office on Locowise, and it just allows you to fine tune your social so that you get even more value.
